Peru is a nation of striking geographical and cultural diversity, with arid coastal deserts, dense urban centers, remote Amazon villages, and Andean mountain communities. Yet despite its natural and historical wealth, many Peruvians face deep-rooted poverty. Political instability, widespread corruption, and economic imbalance have long hindered sustainable development, while limited access to food, education, healthcare, and basic infrastructure continues to marginalize the most vulnerable. These systemic challenges leave countless families struggling to break the cycle of poverty.
Through our Children’s Care Centers (CCCs), hundreds of children receive nutritious meals, Bible instruction, and academic support. Each CCC is strategically placed in vulnerable communities in the desert surrounding Lima.
In the communities where Su Refugio serves, many mothers are forced to choose between caring for their children at home or working to put food on the table. The EQUIP program is designed to empower women with skills and business knowledge that allow them to earn income from within their own homes and communities. These women also receive teaching from God’s Word and encouragement to lead their children in the truth.
